Pelikan 100 "1935 Originals of Their Time" Limited Edition, No. 2656/4000
Jade green, Medium 18 karat Gold nib,
Beautiful celluloid
- No Reserve -Up for auction is a nice Pelikan 100LE from Pelikan's "1935 Originals of Their Time" series. In the mid 1990s, Pelikan issued a limited edition series of pens to commemorate some of their earliest and most exclusive pens. This pen is the jade green model that came out in, I believe, 1996 and is based on the Pelikan 100. It was limited to only 4000 pens and this one is number 2656. The pens are becoming harder and harder to find as most have disappeared into collections.
This pen features a beautiful jade green celluloid with light and dark green swirls and small flecks of white. It's got a wonderful vintage look and feel to it. It has a smooth Medium 18 karat nib and is a piston filler. You can see from the photos that it has the fluted filler knob with the arrow mark just like the original 100s that were made in the 1930s. It has the dark green translucent ink window (see photos). The cap top has the Pelikan feeding the baby chicks logo, although there is some small areas of missing white coloration on part of the logo that is easily fixed with a white wax marker if so desired. This is a marvelous pen that measures only 4 5/8 inches capped but expands to a nice 6 1/4 inches when posted and is close to a 1/2 inch in diameter. This makes it an ideal pen to fit in your shirt pocket, briefcase or bag.
Check out all the photos and you can even supersize them to get more detail (sorry the pen is a bit dusty in areas). This is a really nice pen in great condition and now you have a chance to own a unique and somewhat scarce pen. If you're a Pelikan collector (especially of the 100 series) and you're looking for a nice example of this Limited Edition series, take a look at this pen.
Unfortunately, I do not have the original box or papers for this pen. I've tried to find them but I'm afraid they're long gone.
This
pen is from my personal collection and was purchased from a Pelikan collector at the Los Angeles pen show about 8 years ago. I've filled and written with it a few times but it has been flushed with distilled water and carefully stored. I've been an avid collector of Pelikan pens for many years and I'm sure you'll enjoy this fine pen. If you have any questions, feel
free to contact me. I've tried to describe the pen as best I could, and if anyone knows more about them than I or if some of my information is incorrect, please let me know.

number of negative feedbacks, I reserve the right to possibly cancel
your bid. If you have any questions, please e-mail me through the eBay

International bidders must e-mail me first before bidding. I reserve the right to not accept an international bid. No sales to Africa, Indonesia, Malaysia, or Mexico.
Domestic Shipping
I will put the item in the mail to you within 5 business days of the auction ending. I travel frequently for my job and so it may take me a few days to get it in the mail if I'm out of town when the auction ends. Shipping is a $12.95 for USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail within the Continental United States and it should reach most places within 3 business days. I include delivery confirmation (at my expense) to protect us both. Insurance is extra and is required (it protects both buyer and seller).
International Shipping
International shipping will, of course, be more expensive and there are also the issues of taxes, duties or other import fees for International buyers that should be taken into consideration. International shipping can range anywhere from $35 up to $90 or even more depending on the country as well as the final auction selling price. The US Postal Service has limits on the amount of insurance available on some services and for high dollar auctions, this may require a more expensive method of shipping. Some countries prohibit high value merchandise being imported without having an Import/Export license (which I don't have). FedEx, DHL and UPS International shipping is also available for International bidders but they usually cost over $110, but, they also have limits on the amount of insurance available. Insurance costs extra and is required for International bidders. The best thing to do is contact me before you bid for a shipping quote.
Please note - I will not put a lower dollar amount on the Customs form than what the pen sells for, nor will I mark it as a Gift. Please don't even ask.
Once the item has been mailed, it is outside of my control and therefore I can't be responsible for what may happen to the item during shipment.
Have fun bidding!
