Digitaldan believes this would look really great on the Thanksgiving or Holiday/Christmas Table. Here is a real vintage Schatz Anniversary Clock. I took it to a clock shop, and the owner believes it is from the 1930's/1940's. I figure since it is marked "Germany", it is most likely Pre-War. It has 4 of those rotating balls. It is marked "11 54". You center the pendulum by adjusting the feet of the clock. You will need to tune this fine machine. The Pendulum /balls rotate back and forth but eventually stop. You need to further oil/or adjust the gears so that it keeps time. You can certainly find someone to do this. This is a solid instrument built like a Mercedes Benz. I purchased the Key separately. This is probably from the 1930's. The glass and case is precisely fitted to the base. Well engineered. It is also marked "2 Jewels Unadjusted". The winner will own a REAL vintage German Timepiece.....Schatz!!
IT IS ALSO MARKED "1000 DAY".
Anyone celebrating an Anniversary during the Holidays? What a gift!!
Good Luck, Dan
