BEING OFFERED HERE and AT NO RESERVE IS A VINTAGE BOTTLE OF
CHRISTIAN DIOR DIORISSIMO PERFUME
I found one listed in the Judith Miller Collectables Price Guide for 2003. The one in there is exactly the same as this one only it is the fragrance of MISS DIOR instead and is dated for c1947 which would tie in with the dates my Mother gave me - it was my Grandmother's - a gift from my Grandfather which she never used, just left in the box and stored away in a dark cupboard and was passed down to my Mother who did likewise with it until recently when she gave it to me.
It measures approx. 6.5" (165mm) in height which includes the stopper.
As you can see in the photo it has never been used but the stopper is frozen and I don't want to force it open so I have left it.
On the bottom of the pink box in gold is printed CONT. 2 FL OZ MADE IN FRANCE REF 1404 and DIORISSIMO in fancy gold lettering.
It not only has the pink box but also the ribbed grey outer box with the packaging that the pink box goes into - see extra photo. The base of the pink box the bottle stands on is solid and heavy.
The glass bottle is made of a heavy lead crystal glass with a cut out star design on the base underneath.
It has a little gold collar around the base with DIORISSIMO on it. CHRISTIAN DIOR printed on the front of the bottle. Gold thread around the base which has been pulled away (designed to keep the bottle in place inside the box I think) and a little gold thread at the neck which may have a some kind of lable attached to it at.
The whole thing is stunning and a complete must have for the collector of vintage Christian Dior Memorabilia or for the collector of vintage perfume bottles.
The complete bottle and box is quite heavy hence the postal costs.

AIRMAIL SHIPPING - for insurance and a tracking number an item must be shipped using ROYAL MAIL INTERNATIONAL SIGNED FOR which adds an extra £3.50 to the shipping costs - regular AIRMAIL does not provide either insurance or a tracking number. Should this service be required please inform me before the invoice is paid for - without it I will not be responsible for any item that is lost, delayed or damaged within the postal systems of the world.
Having said all this I can honestly say that I can count on the fingers of one hand the amount of missing parcels in 5 years on Ebay.
