Rare find. This saddle is a Roy Rogers themed pony saddle for a child. The saddle has been in my family since it was new, probably in the 1950s. It is brown leather with a silver or chrome colored saddle horn. The seat is 12" from horn to cantle. The skirt is about 16" wide and 19" front to back. There are 6 saddle strings on the saddle. The saddle has been used little and will clean up very nice. The leather is very nice and is not darkened from heavy wear. The original wool fleece lining is worn due to age (see picture). The fenders are embossed with "Roy Rogers" and a picture of Roy on a rearing Trigger. The stirups are wood with leather covers. The saddle appears complete with cinch straps. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Payment by Paypal. If you have any questions please ask. Thanks for looking. On Aug-25-08 at 21:30:25 PDT, seller added the following information:This appears to be a Bona Allen saddle made by the Bona Allen Company from Buford, Georgia. The same company that made Roy Rogers' silver studded saddle. BA is stamped on the rivets. As for the color, I have seen other darker saddles and that may be from wear and cleaning. This saddle has been lightly used and so is not as dark as some I have seen. On Aug-29-08 at 15:12:35 PDT, seller added the following information:I have added money orders, cashier checks, and personal checks as forms of payment. But I will not ship the saddle until these forms of payment clear the bank, so it may take longer then 3 days for the saddle to ship. Thank you.
