Second edition stated.
With numerous images of life in Peking in the early 20th century, along with photographs of monuments and the surrounding landscape. Scarce.
Condition: Covers quite worn, with cloth rubbed away from much of spine and boards exposed at edges, cloth hanging off in some places. Endpapers damp-stained and browned, contents a bit age toned and pages slightly rippled, some handling wear and light soiling, slight glue shadow at edge of images, slightly dusty, images and interior of text generally good. Complete with 66 photogravures.
