DESCRIPTION: This is an old “FAST MAIL“ tobacco pocket tin . The front shows a steam engine and tender pulling two train cars along a track. There is a pole with a bag of mail that they would have grabbed on the way by. One car is marked “Gov. Hays”. It was made by J.J. Bagley & Co. It is also marked “Somers Bros. September 24, 1878”. It has a hinged lid.
MATERIALS: Lithographed tin
DIMENSIONS: Approximately 3-5/8“ x 2-¼“ x just over ½“
CONDITION: Overall FAIR TO GOOD CONDITION. It opens and closes solidly. It has overall wear and some light dents. I think that the pictures will tell the story.
This is a nice old and possibly hard-to-find tin to add to your railroad, train, tobacco, or other advertising tin collection.
If you win more than one item, I will combine the items for shipment and charge shipping according to weight.
