1920s ERLA Fixed Crystal Detector, in Original Box

Description
This auction is for a 1920s ERLA Fixed Crystal Detector, in the original box, and with the original instruction sheet. This was made by Electrical Research Laboratories.
This is basically a cats whisker detector inside a metal cover so that it never needs adjusting. It would be perfect for building a crystal radio. I can't tell if it has been used or not, but it all appears to be in very nice condition.
The sides of the box say "Guaranteed to give supersensitive reception and maximum rectification, especially designed and individually tested to meet perfectly the exacting requirements of reflex work. Non-corrosive contact point resists oxidation and will last indefinitely. No adjustments required. Proof against jolt and jar. Unaffected by atmospheric conditions and temperature changes." |

Box measures about 1-3/4 x 1-1/8 x 3/4 inches.
The mounting holes on the detector are 1-1/4 inches apart, center-to-center. |
