Description
The item pictured below is the *exact* one you will receive. This outstanding, detailed prop replica is still in its original box and has the original paperwork, just as I received it directly from Icons back in the late 90s. I am the original owner and have never displayed it. The double-sided tape's backing on the plaque has never been removed/stuck. This saber was taken out of the box when I initially received it for inspection purposes, and then again to take the photos for this auction. The autographed plaque was actually signed by Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill. This is a real autograph from Mr. Hamill as part of Icons' signature series, so no two sigs are alike. These are hard to come by today, as not a whole lot appear to have been produced. Here's the best part: this edition bears a SUPER LOW number - 003 (out of a supposed 1,000)! Since Icons is no longer in business (they closed their doors nearly ten years ago), it is impossible to know for sure just how many signature edition Skywalker sabers were actually released. We can all consider this though: if they *had* produced the full run of 1,000, then you'd probably see a lot more being offered on eBay than you do now. The box condition is excellent and still has the original padding/packing material. The paperwork is in great shape and still in the original envelope. Of note: I do not see an "official looking" COA as the regular edition Skywalker saber had, so perhaps they never made one for this? A line of text was crossed out in black on the instructions sheet that made reference to a COA; I believe this is the same instructions sheet sent with the regular edition Skywalker saber, so this makes perfect sense. Either Icons ran out, or it did not apply to the signature editions? An Icons expert would surely know the scoop. Oh, one more thing to note: you will see that the signature edition bases are different than the regular issue in that the plaque area is much larger (in order to accommodate the larger signed plaque, of course). I will be sending this lightsaber in the box that it came in, thereby placing the label directly on the box. If you DO NOT WISH to have the original box marred in any way, I can place the original box inside a larger shipping box, and put padding around all sides. In doing this, the shipping price will cost more, since the Post Office bases the rates on box size and weight (and both will definitely go up). Just let me know your decision at the end of the auction. Please check out the photos below for further examination of this great collectible!

Insurance can be added after the auction is over and is optional (but always recommended). IMPORTANT NOTE: eBay has made some changes regarding money orders and checks. CLEARED payment is due within 7 days of the auction's end, and PayPal is now mandatory for ALL customers. If you wish to pay by check, eBay will no longer allow it unless you use PayPal to send an eCheck. Money orders are now a thing of the past. Sad, isn't it?
Again, cleared payment is due within 7 days of the auction's close. This auction is open to all countries in which I am allowed to ship to by law. By using the postal rate calculator on this auction's page, you can get a good idea how much this item will cost to send. The calculator is almost always accurate, but once in a while, I find that eBay hasn't updated *all* of the rates (it's never off by much though).
