Description
The item pictured below is the *exact* one you will receive. This super rare, outstandingly detailed prop replica is still in its original packing material and has the original prototype case, plaque, box, and COA, just as I received it from a former Icons employee after their doors closed in 2000. This gun never went into production as Icons ended up losing the Disney license shortly after making 10 samples. That's correct: there were only ten of these guns made, and all were numbered as APs (Artist Proofs). Prototypes made by Icons seldom had the word "prototype" associated with it in relation to the plaque or any early sample paperwork. Usually an AP designation was used instead. This one happens to be AP5. This is not a true AP mind you (since the production run never commenced), but indeed a prototype made to get Disney's approval. Had Disney signed off on the piece, they would have ended up with the first ten made. As you can see, they obviously didn't! The packing materials inside the box were custom made as well, as was the COA with an Icons gold seal affixed to the lower left corner. As with all Icons prototypes, the plaque was applied by Icons' artisans. The case still has the piece needed to hang this on your wall, if so desired. The blue tape on the back is still there, holding the lower wall mount in place. There was never an envelope included, so to protect the COA, I placed it inside an Ultra Pro magazine sleeve. I am the original owner and have never displayed it. However, there are minor scuffs to the clear plexi, so it was most likely on display at Icons and/or the employee's home before I obtained it. I have never seen another one of these offered on eBay, and to say that this gun is rare is an understatement. On one of my many visits to Icons, I saw and held the original prop used for replicating this pistol, and I can attest to the fact that this gun matches in every way (sans the LEDs). The paint is superb and the gun has a nice weight to it. It is absolutely beautiful in workmanship.
I will be sending this pistol in the box that it came in, thereby placing the label directly on the box, but I do not recommend this due to the prototype nature. If you DO NOT WISH to have the original box marred in any way, I can place the original box inside an even larger shipping box, and put padding around all sides. In doing this, the shipping price will cost more, since the Post Office bases the rates on box size and weight (and both will definitely go up). In fact, the original box is quite huge, so it could end up being too large for the Postal Service and *might* have to go via Fed-Ex or UPS if we place it inside yet another box. This could be an expensive route to take. Just let me know your decision at the end of the auction, and we'll take it from there.

Insurance can be added after the auction is over and is optional (but always recommended). IMPORTANT NOTE: eBay has made some changes regarding money orders and checks. CLEARED payment is due within 7 days of the auction's end, and PayPal is now mandatory for ALL customers. If you wish to pay by check, eBay will no longer allow it unless you use PayPal to send an eCheck. Money orders are now a thing of the past. Sad, isn't it?
Again, cleared payment is due within 7 days of the auction's close. This auction is open to all countries in which I am allowed to ship to by law. By using the postal rate calculator on this auction's page, you can get a good idea how much this item will cost to send. The calculator is almost always accurate, but once in a while, I find that eBay hasn't updated *all* of the rates (it's never off by much though).
