| Rare 1880 Silver Plate Huge Egg Spooner/Tea Waste/Click Bell. Late 1800's multi-functional server. This may be used for holding spoons in the egg or for waste with a tea set. Silver plating is mint with no wear. All original. Has not be replated. From my own personal collection. Size 6" tall x 4" wide. When you press on the handle below the egg......and then let go...a spring makes the clapper strike the bell underneath. A wonderful loud bell sound. This can be used to call family to dinner or tea, or to call helpers from the kitchen. This item was written up in the Bell Tower Magazine, March/April 2006 on page 32 & 33. Perfect mint condition; no bends, breaks, damage or repairs. 4 wonderful feet hold this bell up off the table. Spoons not included in auction. Makers mark W & S.
