OLD "GREEN HEARTS" Venetian Glass Trade beads 31 Inches

THIS IS A NICE LONG STRAND OF OLD "GREEN HEARTS" VENETIAN GLASS TRADE BEADS. This style of beads were heavily traded in the African markets. Usually these beads have a lot of odd pitting and much surface abrasion, but this strand is in good condition with a little surface abrasion and few pits. These beads are called "green hearts" because they have a transparent green color core center. The outside color is a brick red.

- Approximate Age: 1750's to 1850's
- Overall Condition: Very good , some pits and surface abrasion common in this style of bead.
- Bead Size: The strand tapers in bead size from 5mm to 12mm and is 31.5 inches long.
