These are verified DMV CLEAR 1942 License Plates.
I have called the CA DMV myself and confirmed these can be registered to only a 1942 vehicle.
No extra holes in em. There is some very minor surface rusting. See the pictures Please.
They are in good condition and the best part is you could have these refinished and put them on your 42 legal like.
Or dont refinish them and keep that original look. But anyway you slice it these are a rare and great find.
I have been informed that the "PC" means pneumatic carrier. The "ss" part I dont know. The CA DMV said it is likely part of the number i.e. pc-SS1249 that is how it is read so when you get them registered that will be your plate number on the registration cert.
