Length In Closed Position : 5 3/8 inches (13.7cm)
Nib : WATERMAN'S REG. US. PAT. OFF. 2 MADE IN USA - in VERY RARE FLEXIBLE MEDIUM/BROAD OBLIQUE. Plenty of iridium and smooth on paper. Writes a bold line with good ink flow. Fantastic writer !!
Barrel : No cracks,scratches or personalisations. Lever operates perfectly and is in excellent condition. Very good imprints (hard to photograph due to the pattern) - not shown in pics, but also complete imprint at end of barrel too !! Correctly stamped 52 at end of barrel.
Cap : No cracks or scratches. Very good matching colour and pattern to the barrel. Gold filled clip is firmly in place. Clip shows no useage wear. Screws onto barrel with a smooth 3/4 turn. Rare 9ct cap band and even rarer 9ct. cap top !!! Both correctly stamped with English impot gold hallmarks, as shown in photos also stamped F.D.W. ( Frank D. Waterman - son of L.E. Waterman, who managed the UK's Waterman's division at the time). Cap top is perfect with no dents !
Filler : The pen is a lever filler and operates perfectly.
Box/Instructions : Hard card box is in very good condition for age with no split corners. The instruction sheet is very good with no tears and very little staining.
Restoration/Serviceing : Completely disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. A new sac fitted, tested with ink and flushed clean with cold water. Now ready to use...
