offered is an extremely rare 1930's art deco ronson touchtip combination cigarette box petrol table lighter. this is model 213 as listed in the must buy cummings ronson book with value of $750 - 1500. the lighter has silver plated touchtip mechanism with cedar lined lid cigarette box. the touchtip measures 3-1/2" tall x 4-7/8" wide and is in fair - good used condition. the lighter has been over cleaned and the original finish is missing from sides. the top is partially cleaned with some finish remaining. the lighter has an aged blotchy look but not too bad. the mechanism moves correctly and has original silver plated wand. one deco foot is slightly loose. the underside still has original ronson label. with proper care - this rare model ronson will look better. there are some dark spots on underside of machined lid that do not detract much as they do not show until lid is opened. overall - this is an important model to buy until a better condition one shows up-[may be years]. i've never seen another one of #213 in person in 30 years so they are quite rare. the photos are reflective and the ronson looks better in person. sold-"as-seen". insurance optional but necessary if item sells over $250.-overseas is first class international.shipping or registered if item sells over $250. italy via express mail only-$45.
