VINTAGE SINGER FEATHERWEIGHT 221 SEWING MACHINE TABLE

This Singer Featherweight table shows it's age but with a little work could be made to look much better. Top is wood veneer with black painted trim. Legs are metal, tapered and shiny black. Hinges lock ok but only one has it's springs the others are either broken or missing. I did find a site on the web where these can be purchased rather inexpensively so they are repairable. The legs still lock into position, sturdy and strong but the three lacking the springs will move if pushed hard. Both the insert and the table have matching numbers of B725879.
Top has scratches and varnish flaking here and there but the veneer itself is not lifted. The photos show wear to the black paint on the corners. Close-up photos show two triangular pieces of wood that are glued between the top and side underneath the table are missing some of the wood. Does not affect the use or condition of the table, they are braces only and could be easily replaced. Also one small piece of veneer missing at the corner and a scratch near the edge. Some light rust on the hinges and very bottom of the legs. Insert fits neatly and tight. Overall displays nicely and works great! Would make a fun winter project. I have done one of these tables before with Formby's Face Lifter, some black paint for the edge, repainted the legs and patched with small pieces of veneer and it comes out beautifully, You would be surprised how easy, it's just time consuming to do a good job.
Expect shipping to be high due to the weight. Shipping below is based on an approximate weight of 24 pounds which includes packaging. If box ends up shipping for less I will refund the difference. If over I will cover the difference. So you will only pay the exact shipping cost by UPS Ground.
