Here is an Excellent, Rich Aqua colored Example of an Early American Eagle flask. This Flask is attributed to the Early Monongahela and Pittsburgh District according to Mckearin...This Pint Sized Flask has Horizontal Ribs on Each Side seperated by a thin Band. . It is listed in Mckearins book, American Glass, as GII-3. This Example is the Variant with the Vertical, 'Ornament' or Bar that is in the Oval below the Eagle on one side. A very Obvious and Prominent mark. This Bottle has a Open Pontil as Shown. The Eagles are Facing to the Right. There are six Bars on the Eagles Breast, Arrows in the Eagles Left Talons. There are Nine Stars arched over The Eagle on Each side. One Side, the one without the Vertical Line in the Oval, Has a Faint embossing of an Olive Brach in the Eagles Mouth. The Mouth is Perfect, Not a Nick or Peck and Smooth. Overall Condition is Excellent, Sparkling Clean, just Minor Base wear and Very Light High Point wear in a few high spots...NO Nicks, Chips, Cracks, etc...If you Collect eagle Flasks, Pontil Flask, Pittsburgh Bottles, or Just Quality, Early American Whiskey Flask or Bottles, you will like this example.....Almost Forgot, Measures 6 & 3/4 inches tall.
