In 2003 and 2004 I was fortunate to be at Althorp at a time of very low attendance....... I got all of the camcorder footages I could have dreamed of.
1. Althorp footage including all of the exhibits, childhood room, dresses including the wedding along with the videos that run in the exhibits. The videos in each room are full and complete not just snip-its. Not only do you see the sights but hear the music as well. 1 Hour at least.
2. Althorp Grounds including the island and temple, the house and some shots inside the house, with a quick shot of the Nelson Shanks portrait hanging over the main staircase.
3. Alma Tunnel Paris. I recorded all of the messages written on the tunnel exterior and have great footage into both sides of the tunnel it’s self.
4. Kensington Palace – Diana’s dresses. 2003 and 2004. A wonderful shot from the inside of the palace looking out just as Diana would have seen it, and of course footage of the outside of the Palace as well.
5. Diana Memorial Fountain. Very brief.
6. Café Diana – with lots of close ups of the photos in the restaurant.
7. Harrods Diana and Dodi Memorial 2003 and 2004. Lots of close ups of the ring - engagement? and wine glass that is stated to be a glass they used on their last night in Paris at the Ritz.
8. Madame Tussaudes Wax Museum featuring Diana naturally.
7. Coleherne Court – puts you right where Diana battled the press each morning, ( and night for that matter). Please note at the time this footage was taken I was of the belief that Diana lived on the Ground Floor to the right of the front door. Wrong – Diana lived on the 2nd floor to the left of the door. So when I state "Princess Diana’s bedroom window" – sorry but that window belonged to another. On the day we were there they were painting so the front door was open!!! We got in for some quick footage of the foyer area through which Diana walked every time she came or went from her flat.
8. Footage of the West entrance of Westminster Abbey. I did lot’s of recording here as this is where the gun carriage arrived and Diana entered the abbey for the funeral. This is also where all the VIP’s entered the abbey before Diana’s arrival.
9. I will include footage of Buckingham Palace. While Diana did live in this palace it is not a "Diana" focal point. If you have never been to London seeing BP is a treat none the less.
