This is a 18 1/2" diameter, VINTAGE and ORIGINAL, PRE-PROHIBITION (before 1919) tin metal sign for BARTELS BEER. Brewed by the Bartels Brewing Company, Syracuse, New York. This round sign is 3-D CONVEX. I believe it might have been used on the ends of wood beer barrels to advertise. The fine print on the bottom of the sign reads ..... "CHAS. W. SHONK CO. LITHO CHICAGO. B 283".
