A marvelous all original Victorian era oak stick and ball hanging thre tier shelf. This wonderful C1890 oak bentwood display shelf is in pristine condition. An investment grade example of this rare and short lived Victorian furniture style. It has its original finish-which is in very fine condition. No damage to any of the many oak spindles, oak dowels, oak balls, oak bent circles, oak turnings. No missing or replaced pieces. It is one of the nicest stick & ball pieces I have ever seen. This extraordinary piece has thre gallery style shelves for disolay. all of the metal washers, couplers, and screws are solid brass. Many of the brass couplers are marked with the following: Pat. Feb 1982. The bentwood piece has two screw eyes near the top for hanging. Also each outside vertical dowel has an original hole about 10 inches from the top. This wonderful example of Victorian craftsmanship is about 32 inches tall, about 22 1/4 inches wide, and about 5 3/4 inches deep. It is guaranteed old and as described. Stick and ball furniture pieces such as this do not come along very often. Definitely an investment grade item. It is a marvelous piece of American art. It would look great with Arts & Crafts, Mission or Contemporary furniture. Buyer pays $25.00 shipping. Insurance optional but hightly recommended. Money order, personal check, or PayPal accepted.
