Large Yangoru Boiken "Talipoon" Face, Papua New Guinea.

My name is Greg Hamson. Large Yangoru Boiken "talipoon" woven fiber head, taro-shaped, no pigments. This strong sculpture is probably a talipoon face that was made but never painted or used before this rare form of currency went out of favor in the early 1970s. Piece is mounted on custom stand.
