Critical Reviews:
"There is all manner of rare film footage included... overall, a perfectly delightful production." - - Phil Elwood, The San Francisco Examiner
"Every effort has been made to make something really special. An incredible amount of spectacular, previously unreleased Beatles San Francisco footage in exquisite pristine condition guarantee this to be the definitive source of last concert material." - Beatles Unlimited Magazine
"Archival footage abounds...live shows, where the Beatles are dwarfed by their vast screaming audiences . . . watching the press conferences, one senses the weariness of the group . . . This superbly captures the mania that surrounded the group during its tumultuous forays to America." - Discoveries Magazine
"The picture quality, very good and more . . Seeing something that up until now was only seen in still photographs is incredible." - Good Day Sunshine Magazine
August 29, 1966: The greatest event` in the history of Rock & Roll! The night the Beatles played Candlestick Park! Their Last Public Concert! This is the rarest Beatles DVD! The one-hour disc thoroughly documents The Beatles in San Francisco, California. This is where The Beatles began their first tour of America in '64. And here at the famous Last Concert August 29, 1966 at San Francisco's Candlestick Park they ended their concert days forever! And it was here that the psychedelia of San Francisco erupted into a worldwide movement.
Watch our exclusive extremely rare footage. The Beatles arrive at San Francisco International Airport and are rushed to Candlestick Park. Here they are greeted by mobs of teen-age fans! The Giants locker room becomes The Beatles dressing room, as they meet with the press and socialize with local celebrities.
The Beatles burst from the Giants' dugout in front of movie cameras filming from 3 vantage points! Watch The Fabs march onto the stage for their final show, ever! Then the show begins! In mid-show a group of fans attempt to get to the stage, but are quickly tackled by body guards. If you weren't there, this will blow your mind! The DVD even includes their final live stage bow! Then they are immediately rushed away back to the airport in a waiting armored car. The car waited on second-base throughout the concert with its motor running! This was to be their escape route in case of an emergency! Rumor has it that the armored car was also carrying all of the money that The Beatles made on this tour. This DVD is truly exciting like it's happening now!
Legendary! The San Francisco Candlestick Park show was truly a legendary concert. There are only a handful of concerts which can be called legendary! Among them: Shea Stadium 1965, Budokan Japan 1966, The Hollywood Bowl '64 & '65 and the Famous Candlestick Park Last Concert. Shea was filmed by the Beatles and the audio was dubbed in before broadcasts on US Television. Budokan was filmed by Nippon Television and released years later by Apple Corps. The Hollywood Bowl concerts were filmed by news crews and an audio recording was made and released years later by Capitol Records. But the San Francisco Candlestick Park show is the RAREST and it is this one which has gained attention mainly because it was their Last public performance ever! No one knew this would be the last show. No one, that is, except for John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney & Ringo Starr! They told no one.
An Historic DVD If you are a BEATLES collector, (like me), you are concerned with the quality of the DVDs you buy. This is not one of those poor-quality DVD's which are both insulting to The Beatles and a purchaser. This contains a 60-minute professionally produced historic program, and comes totally guaranteed!
Watch the Famous complete San Francisco Press Conference from the front row, reserved only for our cameras. This press conference, as well as this footage is absolutely unavailable elsewhere!
You are there in the front row! With J,P,G &R!!! This is NOT the press conference selling elsewhere in combination with the Washington DC Beatles show. And Likewise, this is NOT the press conference included in the title, "The Beatles Unauthorized!" In fact, it really takes place in San Francisco, while the others mentioned DO NOT! And remember that the title "The Beatles From Liverpool to San Francisco" contains no San Francisco footage!
Authentic! This is an original! Most of the footage originated from 16mm motion picture film which has been professionally transferred and reedited on broadcast quality digital equipment. This DVD is an almost perfect replica of the original footage. The DVD is in new collectible condition! This new original edition RARE item comes with a high-quality color cover and is in a plastic library quality case.
KYA Radio--San Francisco! This was professionally produced with the cooperation of San Francisco radio station KYA. The station sponsored the original Candlestick 1966 performance Plenty of archival footage abounds in this DVD! Both B&W and color!
The Cow Palace Too! The DVD is exciting and one-hour long! One-hour because there is also the only available footage of San Francisco 1964 and 1965 at the Cow Palace included in this DVD! Again, this is unavailable elsewhere! Superior in quality, rich and precious as all of this Beatles footage is!
Rare & Unavailable Elsewhere!
Exceptionally rare! A truly special DVD for your collection.
