This is a beautiful old antique Black Forest Carved Wooden Statue of the Virgin Mary (Madonna). The detail is lovely especially to her face and hands. She is praying and has a halo at her head and there is a crescent moon at her feet. The piece has a total height of 8 inches (20cm) and is in good condition with no damage or repairs, just light wear to the finish. An enchanting item.
