Good antique, American, Victorian, solid tiger oak bookcase, hutch, secretary, circa 1880.
A very good, antique American Victorian bookcase, secretary hutch, circa 1880. To the top is an ornately carved crest, on the right is the original beveled mirror, below which is a fall-front secretary with a fitted interior, below this are three drawers with the original brass handles. The left side has a door with carvings to the top, enclosed are four adjustable shelves, the door has the original wavy glass, the bookcase stands on shaped bracket feet with incised carving, all the original brass pulls are present, dimensions 68" tall x 40.5" wide x 29.5" deep when writing surface is open x 15.5" deep when closed. It is constructed of the finest solid oak, that has been quatersawn giving a tiger stripe effect. Condition is very good, a good anytique American Victorian bbokacse secretary hutch circa 1880.
