Large Staffordshire-style pair of cats. Cats are 10" long, 6 3/4" tall including cushions. Gold-tone painted collars. Cats seated on very colorful green and bronze mix cushions. Each plays with a gold-tone ball. Faces are glossy glaze. Bodies and stands are slightly matte. I cannot find any chips or scratches. Intentional crazing. Vintage unknown. These were stored away for at least a decade and were represented to me as Mottahedeh although I find no stamp on bottoms. Mottahedeh is known for some stickers so any stickers may have fallen off. Check with a Mottahedeh collection book if you want to do more research. If you collect Staffordshire cats or Mottahedeh and hope to possibly discover a treasure, these cats are for you. At a minimum, you will end up with an attractive pair. Sorry I cannot authenticate further.
