Here's an early Puma hunting knife in good shape and with the original sheath. The knife has thick stag handles with no chips or cracks, a numbered brass finger guard, a blood groove, and measures 9 1/8 inches in total length, the blade being 4 7/8 inches. The end of the blade etch is somewhat transparent but legible, it's marked, "Puma Hunter's Friend Genuine Pumaster Steel Germany 6398", the finger guard is clearly numbered, "84607". The blade has been sharpened a small amount. The good leather sheath shows the Puma head on the front, the back of the sheath is marked, "Made In Germany DBGM 1865840". A good knife. I'm unsure of it's age. Great for a collection or as a gift for the collector. There is no reserve and winning bidder to pay 4.80 boxed priority mail.
