I'm not a pen person so please bear with me and ask any questions you need to ask!
I have up for auction what appears to be a very nice Wahl Eversharp Art Deco Fountain Pen Desk Set. The base might be a combination of onyx and another stone however I don't know for sure what either material is. The pieces are put together in a very nice checkerboard pattern. The base is heavy and in very good condition. There are two small chips on the edge of the top and shows what i would think is reasonable wear for its age. Both chips are in the light color and are not obtrusive. The pen itself is in very good condition with some wear from careful use. There are two decorative rings missing, one above the marble design, between the marble and the black top of the pen, the other ring is missing between the marble part of the pen and the nib holder. There is some stain above the nib where the hand has held the pen. There are a few very small dents or chips in the black part of the handle. The nib looks like it is in good condition and is marked with the name Wahl Eversharp, 14K, the number 2 and Signature which I would interpret as a #2 Wahl Eversharp Signature nib in 14K gold. There is some tarnish/corrosion on the swivel ball holding the pen holder to the base and on the very bottom part of the metal on the pen holder.
The metal part at the bottom of the pen holder is lettered with "Wahl Eversharp" "Made in Chicago USA".
