WWI U.S. 3rd Infantry Uniform And Gas Mask. Identified to a Amos Williams, HQ Company, Third Division. Jacket is in very good condition with the U.S. collar disk on right collar and an infantry crossed rifles of "HQ" disk on left collar. Buttons are the brown plastic type with U.S. eagle seal. Sewn on left shoulder is the "Liberty Loan" 3rd Division patch.(See Pic) Sewn to upper sleeve is a red discharge chevron and three gold bullion overseas chevrons are sewn to left cuff. Sewn on right sleeve cuff is a single gold bullion wound chevron. Original size tag is still sewn in the collar complete with all data. Also on lower collar are the initals "AW" for Amos Williams. Interior of coat is in excellent condition, exterior has a small tear and a button missing from right side lower pocket otherwise in excellent condition. Quality wool construction. Early War Gas Mask and Bag are complete with yellow can, hose and rubber mask. Gas mask bag has a small hole to left side otherwise in good condition. Inked to the bag is the name Amos Williams.(See Pic) Straight leg trousers of the uniform in very good condition. This is a great uniform ensemble that has has been kept together and tenderly cared for throughtout the years and identified to the original owner, Amos Williams.
