This vintage (circa 1930s -1940s) Maple Shaving Mirror with jewelry lift top compartment and drawer is in very nice condition and ready for use. It measures approx. 19-1/4” wide by (8-1/2” deep to the fronts of the wood knobs on the bottom drawer) depth of the bottom is 8-1/4” where it would set on the top of your chest of drawers or bureau. Overall height is approx. 22”. The batons on the sides holding the mirror are secure and steady and the hardware threaded into the mirror is in good working order. The mirror can be tilted front or back to adjust for viewer’s height. The lid on top lifts revealing a partitioned three-part area for storage. Interior sections divide into even sections measuring 5-3/4” wide each. The dividers only come out from the back approx. 4-3/4” overall depth is 7-1/2” deep. The drawer is in good working order, it slides nicely in and out and divides into 4 sections, 1 long in the front 17-1/2” x 2-1/8” and the three sections behind it are approx. 4” x 5-1/2” each. Drawer depth is approx. 1-1/8” deep. The mirror and yolk are solid mahogany with an Oak drawer interior. It is a very nice QUALITY piece of furniture. The back of the mirror is marked with a stamp, which reads: “L1216” and “INSPECTED PASSED OK” (inside a circle with a divider line). The mirror is original and has some minor spotting on the silvering. It does not, in any way obstruct a clear view nor is it particularly noticeable.
