Offering a fantastic, 1870s-1880s, Collins & Co. bowie knife. Made for the South American market, this is a big, classic, early No.18 bowie knife. Length is 17" w/a 12 1/8" blade. Pronounced, clip point blade. There is only light sharpening w/a very good, full edge. The finish is all scratched up, it can't be felt, so was not a grinder, maybe a sander? Most of the bright finish is intact and it could be buffed much better. Markings are still clear,The Legitimus arm and crown is light at the top, can't see the hammer. Blade is tight, brass guard and turned leather disk are excellent. Comes in the correct, original scabbard, marked "10" on the hanger, which is also in very good condition. Nickel silver tip and tooled leather front w/a repeat of the Collins logo. Overall a very nice American bowie knife. . .Thanks for looking, shipping will be 12.50 in the US.kw:dagger, sword,Civil War, CS,US,
