Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

We strive to make our photo descriptions as accurate as possible. Descriptions are taken directly from the U.S. Library of Congress, National Archives, or other sources as noted. In many cases, these institutions hold the original negatives and state the ascribed notes directly from the original photographer. Therefore, we use these institutions as our standard of authority on description accuracy. We are not responsible for errors and we will not participate in disputes. Should you have a dispute, please contact the sighted source directly.

Items are delivered via USPS First Class mail (2-5 business days) with no longer than one (1) day handling time. Your item should not be considered untimely unless it has not been received after one full week from your payment date (within the United States). Please consider weekends and holidays when anticipating your package arrival date as well. 

International delivery times vary depending on location.  While First Class International usually delivers within 7-14 business days, it offers no guarantee on delivery times and may take up to a month.  Please take this into consideration if you are outside the United States and placing a time-sensitive order.

Great care will be taken to ensure that your item arrives in excellent condition.  We've successfully shipped thousands of prints, which demonstrates a reliability in our packaging methods.  Items will arrive in good order when handled properly by postal carriers. 

Payment is expected within (7) seven days. This 7 day period may be used to acquire multiple items for the multiple item shipping discount. If 7 days is insufficient, please submit your payment and we will hold your shipment until you have acquired all your desired purchases. The multiple item discount will be applied on all items shipped together. 

If payment is not received by the eighth day after purchase, we will initiate an unpaid item case.  We pay fees on all items sold through eBay and this process is the only way to reverse fees incured by unpaid transactions.  Should a payment issue arise, please don't hesitate to contact us. The shipping and handling charges associated with this item cover:

• Shipping your package
• Shipping materials such as tubes, envelopes, paper, cardboard, etc.
• eBay insertion fees
• eBay final value fees
• Electronic payment costs such as Paypal transactions fees
• Transportation costs (applied to international sales only)

Please note our very low auction starting price.  These costs are not included into that price, but rather the shipping and handling portion of the transaction.  This is done to avoid fee double jeopardy:

With eBay's bracketed fee scale, including the selling fees into the starting price would push the sale into a higher fee bracket, resulting in fee double-jeopardy (paying higher fees to recover the cost of fees).  These higher cost would ultimately be passed on to our buyers.  We find this unacceptable, as we are constantly striving to keep our prices as low as possible.  We hope that you will framiliarize youself with our price structure before you bid.  Should you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We will happily exchange any defective or problematic merchandise. However, cash refunds are not allowed, as your bid is a commitment to buy according to eBay policy.  The nature of our merchandise also compells us to protect against being treated as a lending library.  Therefore, please be confident of desire for our items before placing your order.  We ask that you contact us with any potential issue before leaving negative feedback, as we are committed to your 100% satisfaction and feel any problem can be easily resolved.
