You have the opportunity to bid on seven (7) unique and rare collectible items associated with Federal Law Enforcement FRATERNAL Associations for Criminal Investigators and Intelligence Agents. These are only available to the general public, through members like myself. These are all original items.
These are not federal law enforcement badges nor do they have any direct association with any federal, state or local police department as this would be in violation of eBay policies. These are strictly Fraternal Associations formed for education and brotherhood.
The first item is an 8 x 10 Certificate of membership for the Federal Law Enforcement Officers' Association. This association is not just a fraternal and educational organization. They are major contributors and organizers of funds to assist the families of officer's killed on the job and for officers permanently disabled as well.
This certificate is ready to fill in the name and date for someone's acceptance into the Association. If desired you can put your name or someone's else's along with the dates. It makes a great gift. This is suitable for framing and looks great with a matt that follows the outline of the border. It is recommended that instead of writing in the name, which is sometimes done by the association, that a much better way is to purchase a small Rub-On letter kit. This allows you to pick a suitable Font, size and color of your choice, that complements the printed certificate. These rub-on kits are available on eBay and elsewhere on-line as well as art stores.
The next item bottom left and center right, is a blank Membership card also ready to fill in for the Federal Law Enforcement Officers' Association. On the front of the card it bears a member number associated with members of the association from the National Security Agency. There are two of these since the back is also printed and suitable for display. On the back it carries the motto of the association, "Failure Is Not An Option". Also on the back above the grayscale logo pictured, it says, "This member is covered under H.R. 218, Public Law 108-277 and as such is authorized to carry a concealed weapon. This relatively new law, references the fact that both current, former and retired federal agents can carry a concealed weapon in any and all of the states, regardless of the laws of that state pertaining to concealed weapons.
The next item, bottom right, is another membership card of "sorts" for the S.O.G., (Studies and Observation Grop) This card used by S.O.G.members is used by civilian and military intelligence agents in Iraq as a pass allowing them to travel anywhere without interruption or resistance of any kind from any command operating in Iraq.
You will receive two of these cards as well since they are printed on both sides, so you can display both sides at the same time.. These teams, formerly made up of Green beret Teams and others, during the time period of Vietnam were never spoken of openly and when necessary was done so in barely a whisper since they were so secret. This card is specific only to Iraq. The S.O.G. teams of today are made up of a combination of Intelligence agents and the military and report directly through Intelligence channels. This card is specific to a member attached from the National Security Agency and bears the logo of the NSA. The purpose of the SOG teams is varied from counterintelligence, and defensive reconnaissance to offensive surreptitious endeavors.
Ebay has a problem with this card in that they think it could be used by someone to impersonate an NSA Agent, even though it was only usable in Iraq. So I will have to write cancelled on one side of each card. I will do so by writing on a blank area so that does not cover the wording on the card. Therefore it can still be displayed. That should take care of the problem.
This card is a great collector piece. It bears in part , the following words: "The bearer of this document is acting under the direct orders of the President Of The United States. Do Not Detain or Question Him. If he is killed or injured, do not remove this document. Alert your Commanding Officer immediately" On the other side there is wording specific to the person who was issued one of these cards.
The next item, is a pen bearing the logo of the Federal Law enforcement Officers' Association, (F.L.E.O.A.) . Above the logo on the US flag are the letters F.L.E.O.A. standing for the Federal Law Enforcement Officers' Association.
The last item is a brass Cloisonne fired enamel Grill Badge, pictured upper right, bearing the logo of the FLEOA, in full color. This logo shield is 3 inches across in diameter and is deeply embossed. Some member use this as a grill badge while others prefer to use it with double faced tape on their dash near the windshield, while other have used some form of adhesive that dries clear to fix it to the left lower area of their windshield.
You have a rare opportunity here if you are an active collector of such things. I only have a limited number of these items and when they are gone, There will be no more in the forseeable future.
