(Excuse the one dark pic)----THIS DOUBLE 6TH PLATE TINTYPE SET IS TRULY ONE OF THE FINEST CONFEDERATE IMAGES OFFERED ON EBAY IN RECENT MEMORY!! I acquired it a few years ago from one of the leading Confederate image experts (He's written a book)----who told me that they came from a KENTUCKY ESTATE. RIFLE, PISTOL, & BOWIE KNIFE are carried by each brother. Each wears a 4 or 5 buttoned SACK COAT, SLOUCH HAT WITH FEATHER. A CANVAS HAVERSACK & canvas-covered CANTEEN are slung over each one's shoulders. One carries a TIN CUP. One wears a BELT PLATE (which cannot be read) and the other, a conventional buckle. CONDITION of both images is EXCELLENT PLUS----SHARP, CLEAR, NO SCRATCHES OR EMULSION PROBLEMS. The double 6th pl.
