| Bonzo dog metal matchbox match holder 1920's 10 cm tall |
This is a stunning little 10 cm tall matchbox holder which has a dog who looks very similar to Bonzo by Studdy. It has no makers marks at all but is very well made. I would date it to the 1920's, perhaps earlier. The dog sits beside a beer tankard. The dog feels like cast iron and has lots of great detail. It has been well painted but now has quite a bit of wear mainly at the back. Underneath the dog is a matchbox holder which measures 4 X 6 cm , it is a little squashed and feels like tin.

Non-UK bidders are reminded that this auction is in UK Pounds (GBP - Sterling) not US Dollars or Euros. Delivery costs for UK, Europe and Worldwide are listed seperately. If you are unsure which applies, please ask before paying so as to avoid any confusion.
Small items within the UK will be posted first class. Larger items will normally be sent by parcel post. We aim to send most items within two working days of a payment clearing. If you require special or recorded delivery we will happily arrange this for an additional charge.
We will combine shipping and use good quality packaging. Where possible we do recycle packaging.
We do offer worldwide shipping. Small, lightweight items (under 2kg) can usually be sent via Small Packet Airmail. This service is not trackable/traceable. If you require your items to insured or have a tracking number during shipping please contact us before bidding, so that we can obtain a quote from a courier. Heavy or large items will also need to be sent by courier. This can be quite expensive, especially outside Europe, please check with us before bidding.
We describe our items as accurately as possible. Most of our items are pre-loved and will show signs of wear which we will point out. We will not describe an item as mint unless it is.

Hi, we are a brand new ebay business but are not new to ebay. Over the past few years we've sold bits and pieces that we've collected, as well as things that the children have grown out of.

Most of the items we sell are vintage toys, teddy bears or dolls, though we do occasionally have other more esoteric items. We usually have a large stock including Chad Valley, Chiltern, Palitoy, Wells, Merrythought as well as lots of other prominent makers.
We pride ourselves on describing our items well, but if you are not happy with your purchase and think we have decribed it incorrectly, we are happy to give a full refund on safe return of the item.
