RARE display/dummy bottle of Hennessy "Bras Arme" Cognac. Believed to be from the 1960's, made in France. Item is in great shape for its age, has some fading of the gold trim in some areas and a very small dent on the top edge of the seal. This display bottle was made very well and all artwork is screen printed on the glass, rather than printed on paper and glued.
History
According to Hennessy, this particular cognac was produced during the 1960's and has not been produced for over 40-50 years. The back of the bottle reads:
"BRAS ARME is the new name for our Three Star Cognac. Bras Arme,
in French, describes the Arm and Axe which has always appeared
on the label and capsule of your bottle of HENNESSY. The Arm and
Axe is also the Hennessy crest and our personal assurance of
unchanging quality. Bras Arme is pronounced Brahz - Ahr - MAY."
Condition
Bottle stands approximately 20" tall and 6.5" wide. For its age it looks very good. No major scratches, only some fading of the gold trim in some areas. Made in France. Seal is completely intact, except for a small dent on the top edge and a scratch along the top of the seal(see picture). Glass is sturdy and thick. The interior is stained a clear cognac color to simulate liquid contents. Back of the bottle is printed: "FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY. EMPTY DUMMY BOTTLE PAINTED INSIDE"
