A large format (14" by 37") original metal sign. It is unrestored and in fine condition. What follows are descriptions of all the flaws I can see but please email if there are other condition issues you want described.
The painted surface has just one visible scratch, about 3" long running diagonally across the "C" in Cola. There are many very tiny paint spots running along the top 2 to 4" of the sign. These can be felt and look like gray primer. I've flicked a few off with my fingernail and so they may all be easily removed. In any case you cannot even see them unless you stand within a foot of the sign. There are also two scratches that run along the decal of Sprite Boy's hand and they penetrate to the paint for about a half inch (see the photo detail). There is also one tiny white fleck on Spite Boy's bottle cap. I can't determine if it's a stratch or a bit of paint. The rounded edges of the sign have a bit of paint wear but virtually no rust. The back of the sign is soiled and has some minor rust spots but would easily clean. There is a handwritten note (in pencil) that may date the sign (1946) and a small stamp (Point-O-Purchase Co.; Box 1611; Dallas, Texas). The frame has wear and rust spots throughout but it doesn't detract from the sign at all.
