36 Star Haloed American Flag representing Nevada (1865).
This is a real, period, Civil War Era American Flag.
This is a parade sized flag, printed on glazed muslin.
This item was removed from a frame and the ends have fold lines as seen in the images (which likely helped to preserve it).
The flag is 28 1/2 by 19 1/2.
We do not believe that there has been any cutting or timing of this flag.
The left side has rust marks from where it was originally attached to a stick.
All edges are shown in the images below.
Damp stains overall, no repairs, no splitting (this is in very good + condition). Please note, there is overall fading more on the front than back, but this condition is still very good and the colors are held up for this type and era of flag. This is a rare opportunity as there are usually only one or two offered on the market each year.
Someone wrote SGA or SCA on the bottom left front and on the reverse bottom the same with the date 186? (I think it is 1865). This writing is period to the flag.
Flag will be shipped flat, unless buyer wants it rolled. It is dry but still able to be rolled without issues.
Shipping set at $22.00 covers full insurance.
