~ ANTIQUE "C & M RR CO" RAILROAD LANTERN ~
Presented for your consideration is this very rare old and all original C & M RR Co Fixed Globe Railroad Lantern. Has a brass top cap. Globe has deep embossing, marked, "C & M RR CO". Glass is made out of thick bottle glass from the 1850's to 60's period. Lantern is in very good condition, the glass has an old interior crack in it, measures about 3 inches long. Not quite sure of the railroad company but it was from one of the earliest railroads. There is also some wear on the base, along the bottom edge. Museum piece, the crack shouldn't affect the importance of this piece. Guaranteed old and original.
