On offer today I have another of my hanging Victorian oil lamps...I am partial to the hanging lamps which are dripping with crystals ...my favourites
This particular hanging lamp is very much complete..nothing to do or replace other than hang it in your favourite spot and enjoy it..
it has the smoke bell ..burner..chimney..and all the crystals
There is the ornate brass top that sits up against the ceiling..under that is the motor ..the chain has been wired to this height so wont move..but I find it a great length for hanging ..a total of 35 inches in total length top to bottom.There is a hanging hook in the mechanism to suspend it from.
the shade is really lovely with gentle pastel colours ..flower and leaves..milk glass with natural straw marks in it with the painted garden flower sense going round most of the shade (NO breaks in the shade or chips)
The shade measures 14 inches across the frame and is about about 7 inches tall..you will note it has both the top and bottom shade ring
The lower part of the base which is brass is very ornate in its pattern with flowers..this area measures 13 1/2 inches across
There is a burner with a wick ready to use..the font has no breaks or chips..and has a lovely pattern pressed into the glass....There is a wonderful vintage chimney that is partly frosted and the top section is clear..MINT condtion..and stands 14 inches tall ..giving it lots of height to extend past the shade...it is a bit loose in the burner but sits there fine...
the brass is work frame is very delicate to view..all is intact with no signs of breakage/repair
I didnt see any makers marks on the piece..nor the motor ...It most definately is an original piece dating to the 1880's - 1900

The crystal that hang are all in mint condition..with brass fittings ...lovely to have the sun hitting then as the dart thhe colours of the rainbow over the walls...
